Section management – Backoffice

The product sections allow you to classify your products by categories on the sales screen. It allows you to find them more easily and increase the input during the collection.
The sections also allow you to have detailed statistics and analysis on the sale of your products.

 

Creating a section

  1. From the main screen, click on Data > Sections
  2. Click on +, at the bottom right corner of the screen
  3. Fill in the name of the section
  4. Indicate the ranking of the section and the associated products
  5. Indicate the Section grouping
    The choice of the section grouping is very important, the grouping defines the VAT rate which will be associated by default with the products of this section, and it’s also this same grouping which serves as the accounting code when you’ll export your sales for accountancy.
  6. Choose a color for your section
    The color associated to the sales section will also be associated to the products of this section if you decide no to put a photo on your product
  7. Indicate the number of decimals
    The number of decimals if useful if the products associated to this section are sold by weight, metre or litre. This allows you to indicate directly on the product the price per kg of the productand during the sale to enter the weight of the article.
    Leave No decimals if the products of this section are sold individually
  8. Indicate the production level for this section if you want to
  9. You can choose to Exclude this section from the revenues
  10. There is a section dedicated to the Webshop if you decide to sell this section online

 

Archiving / Removing a section

You have two possibilities to remove a section from your sales screen : archiving or permanent deletion.

· Archiving a section

Archiving a section allows you to remove it from the main screen while keeping it in your data so you can reuse it later.
Archiving a product section also archives the products associated with this section.

  1. From the main screen, click on Data > Sections
  2. Choose your section
  3. Archive it by switching it off on the right

The section remains in your data, it appears in grey and disappears from the sales screen.
In order to restore it, you must do the same operation and switch it on.

· Deleting a section

Deleting a section allows you to remove it from the sales screen but also to permanently delete it from your data. This section will be kept in your invoice history and also in your sales data.
Removing a product section also removes the products associated with this section.

  1. From the main screen, click on Data > Sections
  2. Choose your section
  3. Then, click on the bin that appears on the right
  4. Confirm the removing

The section is now permanently deleted from your data.
