All the operations linked to the creation or modification must be done when your cash register is connected to the Internet.
The product sections allow you to classify your products by categories on the sales screen. It allows you to find them more easily and increase the input during the collection.
The sections also allow you to have detailed statistics and analysis on the sale of your products.
Creating a section
- From the main screen, click on My data > Sections
- Click on +, at the bottom right corner of the screen
- Fill in the name of the section
- Indicate the number of decimals
The number of decimals if useful if the products associated to this section are sold by weight, metre or litre. This allows you to indicate directly on the product the price per kg of the productand during the sale to enter the weight of the article.
Leave No decimals if the products of this section are sold individually - Indicate the Section grouping
The choice of the section grouping is very important, the grouping defines the VAT rate which will be associated by default with the products of this section, and it’s also this same grouping which serves as the accounting code when you’ll export your sales for accountancy. - Choose a color for your section
The color associated to the sales section will also be associated to the products of this section if you decide no to put a photo on your product
Archiving / Removing a section
You have two possibilities to remove a section from your sales screen : archiving or permanent deletion.
· Archiving a section
Archiving a section allows you to remove it from the main screen while keeping it in your data so you can reuse it later.
Archiving a product section also archives the products associated with this section.
- From the main screen, click on My data > Sections
- Choose your section
- Archive it by switching it off on the right
The section remains in your data, it appears in grey and disappears from the sales screen.
In order to restore it, you must do the same operation and switch it on.
· Removing a section
Before removing a section, you must archive it.
Removing a section allows you to remove it from the sales screen but also to permanently delete it from your data. This section will be kept in your invoice history and also in your sales data.
Removing a product section also removes the products associated with this section.
- From the main screen, click on My data > Sections
- Choose your section and archive it
- Then, click on the bin that appears on the right
- Confirm the removing
The section is now permanently deleted from your data.
Favourites sections
Very useful, this functionality allows you to directly access to a products section when you open a new ticket on your cash register.
- From the main screen, click on My data > Sections
- Click on the star situated on the right of the section.
Only one products section can be selected as favourites. When you return to your sales screen, the favourite products section appears as long as all its products.
